Nepal Red Cross Society Surkhet Eye Hospital is a leading eye care facility located in Birendranagar Surkhet Capital of Karnali province Nepal. It was established initially as a primary eye care centre (PECC) in 1989 with financial support of Swiss Red Cross to provide eye care service. Considering the burden of blindness in the province and gradually increased the outpatient and surgical services in the province. It was upgraded as a surgical centre in 2009 that was further developed as a secondary eye hospital from January 2015 with the financial support of Swiss Red Cross (SRC), Lindenhof Foundation and Foundation Vision for All.

Nepal Red Cross Surkhet Eye Hospital started in Jan 2015 having 25 bedded with advance technology. The hospital provides high quality and affordable services to the rich and poor with Medical, surgical, optical, pharmacy, laboratory and investigation services. Annually, the hospital serves more than 100,000 Outpatient care with 4,239 sight restoring surgeries. CECCs at Dailekh, Jajarkot districts and Eye Care Unit (ECU), Vidhyapur Surkhet, Rukum, Dailekh and Dolpa districts are providing primary eye care service in respective districts as a wing of SEH. Outreach service is an integral part of Surkhet Eye Hospital for hard to reach people. It provides doorstep eye care service to the community. Last year, more than 21,000 patients were treated and 1,388 restored eye sight from outreach camps in collaboration with TRKF, XOVA, NNJS integrated eye and ear project, Chaudhari group and local government.
