Outreach Service

Outreach service is an integral part of Surkhet Eye Hospital for hard to reach people. It provides doorstep eye care service to the community. Yearly, more than 15,000 patients treats and more than 1,000 restored eye sight from outreach camps carried out in different districts.  The major activities of outreach are:

1. Free mobile screening camp
2. Free surgical eye camp
3. School vision program and free distribution of spectacles 
4. Eye Care Unit (integreted eye care service into localGovernmnet health systems)
5. Eye care orientation to FCHVs, HP personnel, teacher and RC volunteer
6. Mass awareness program
7. Broadcasting FM radio
8. Exhibition for eye health promotion
